How to Send Reminder Texts to Redeem Loyalty Rewards Through Klaviyo

When a loyalty member receives a reward through the loyalty program, Friendbuy will send a reward email, letting the customer know they've earned a reward and include the coupon code that was redeemed via points. All distributed coupon codes will also be sent to Klaviyo and added to a new subscriber's profile. If the coupon code has not been redeemed, you can use Klaviyo to send an automated reminder text message to your loyalty member to redeem their reward.

Instructions

  1. In your Klaviyo account, navigate to Flows, click Create Flow
  1. Select the Build Your Own button
  1. Name your flow. Example below: Loyalty Reward Reminder
  1. Select All triggers and then Metric to choose the flow trigger
  1. Select the metric Friendbuy - Loyalty Reward Earned
  1. Save your flow trigger

  1. Under Timing on the left hand menu, drag the Time Delay block under the Trigger module. Set a time delay. Example below: 7 days, but it's completely configurable
  1. Once the time delay is set, drag the SMS module under the Time Delay module.
  1. Click the Edit button to the right of Content
  1. Start typing out our SMS message, click the Add Personalization button to include the coupon value. Select Friendbuy Coupon Value from the dropdown. You might also want to hardcode the currency value such as "$" before the merge variable.
  2. Click the Insert button to add the merge variable in the message:
  1. Select the Add Personalization button again and then select the Friendbuy Coupon Code property from the dropdown to add the coupon code merge variable
  1. Click the Insert button to add the merge variable in the message:

  1. Click the Save & continue button in the top right hand corner
  2. Review and Turn on your flow!
