Overview

The Referral Performance Dashboard makes it easy to see how your referral program is performing — from advocate engagement to customer growth and revenue impact.

This guide will walk you through where to find the dashboard, how to use filters, and what each metric means.

1. Accessing the Referral Performance Dashboard

  1. In your Friendbuy account, look at the left-hand navigation menu
  2. Click Analytics → Referral Performance.
  3. The dashboard is divided into three main sections:
    • Engagement Metrics from Referral
    • Referral Customer Impact
    • Revenue Impact from Referral

2. Using Filters

At the top of each section, you can adjust filters to refine your analysis:

  • Date Range Selector - Pick the time period you want to analyze.
  • Compare Toggle - Compare performance against another time period.
  • Event Type (First Time Purchase / All) - Switch between viewing all referral activity or just first-time purchases.

3. What the Metrics Mean

Engagement Metrics from Referral

Total Advocates Created - The total number of customers who became advocates during the selected time frame.

  • % Active Customers Turned Advocate - The percentage of active customers who joined the referral program as advocates.
  • Unique Friends Invited per Advocate -The average number of friends invited by each advocate.
  • Conversion Rate (%) of Unique Friends Invited - The percentage of invited friends who completed a purchase.
  • Friends Turned Advocate % - The percentage of referred friends who also became advocates.

Referral Customer and Revenue Impact

Customer Impact from Referral

  • New Customers from Referral - The number of first-time customers acquired through referrals.

% New Customers from Referral - The share of total new customers who came from referrals.

Revenue Impact from Referral

  • Referred Friend Revenue -Total revenue generated by customers who were referred.
  • Placed Incentive Redemptions Revenue -The value of rewards or discounts redeemed as part of the referral program.
  • Total Attributed Revenue - The overall revenue attributed to referral-driven purchases.
  • Automatic Reward Redemption Revenue - Revenue tied to automatically applied rewards.
  • Average Order Value (AOV)
    • Advocate AOV: The average order value for purchases made by advocates.
    • Referred Friend AOV: The average order value for purchases made by referred friends.

4. Reports and Exports
  • Each section includes an “Export” button to download data.
  • Exported reports reflect any filters you have applied.
