Manually Opt a Customer In or Out of Loyalty

Connor Johanning Updated by Connor Johanning

In some cases, you may need to update a customer’s loyalty status yourself — for example, if they joined through a support request or asked to opt out. Friendbuy’s Customer Lookup tool makes this quick and easy.

How to Adjust a Customer’s Loyalty Status

  1. Navigate to the Customer Service tab in your Friendbuy dashboard.
  2. Select Customer Lookup.
  3. Search for the customer by entering one of the following:
    • Email Address
    • Customer ID
    • Order ID
    • Coupon/Gift Code
    • Referral Code
  4. Once the customer profile loads, locate the Loyalty Opt-In field.
  5. Click the pencil icon ✏️ next to the Loyalty Opt-In field.
  6. In the Adjust Loyalty Status pop-up window, choose:
    • Opt In → enrolls the customer into your loyalty program.
    • Opt Out → removes the customer from your loyalty program.

  1. Save your changes. The customer’s loyalty status will update immediately.

Example

In the screenshot below, clicking the pencil icon next to Loyalty Opt-In opens a pop-up where you can manually select Opt In or Opt Out.
